The View From Saturday-Setting

The View from Saturday takes place in a small town called Epiphany. Epiphany is located in the upper eastern portion of New York. Throughout the entire story the kids and Mrs. Olinski are actually in Albany, New York while they are participating in the Academic Bowl State Championship, but a great portion of the book is spent explaining and talking about all of past stories that help the reader get to know more about the background of the story. A lot of people get confused about this though, but I assure you that is where the present takes place. When the book is talking about stories in the past, each past setting is connected with the next past setting until all of those mix in with the present-day setting. Personally, I thought that this was a very cool and creative idea. As for the rest of the setting, it is pretty normal; it talks about your average looking middle school, and building with the conditioner on so high its practically below zero.
